The Wordle answer today is spell. “Snarl” is the word programmed into the back-end of the game, but since the start of November Wordle has been testing showing different answers than appear in the original answer list. Spell in Old English referred to news or a story, and was potentially from Proto-Germanic spella ‘speech, tale’.
