The Firewall specialisation comes with the new expansion on March 3. The Division players will remember setting everything on fire with the Firewall specialisation and fans have been calling for it to be added since The Division 2 released last year. The new specialisation comes with the KB-JetStream Flamethrower which is sure to unleash a fiery hell upon your enemies. It’s great for some crowd control and the unique shotgun, Firestarter, comes with perks that will make you even deadlier. The Firestarter deals a tonne of damage and has pretty decent stability, and the chambered shots contain a fine powder than increase the flammability of targets hit with the shotgun. So, in theory, you’d fire a shot or two from the Firestarter at your enemies, then light them up with the Flamethrower and they’ll take even more damage. Result.
There’s also a new Striker Ballistic Shield for the Firewall class, which is a modified version of the Crusader shield - and yes, you can still equip the KB-JetStream Flamethrower while this shield is equipped. It gives you a buff to you and your allies behind the shield and boosts damage based upon the number of enemies in front of the shield. You’re basically just a walking fire turret at this point. Alongside all this carnage, there’s a new Cluster Grenade that’s pretty wild. When you throw it, it launches mini grenades that detonate in a wide area of effect like fireworks. Just watch out you don’t accidentally set yourself on fire.
Skills wise, there are new skills that will increase the burn duration of your weapons, allies deal 10% more damage to enemies if they are within 10 metres of you, bonus 10% health on kills and others relating to the new weapons in your arsenal. Last but not least, there’s a new Exotic weapon on the way: the Chameleon Assault Rifle. It has excellent stability, but the accuracy is a little on the low side, though it does come with Chameleon Optics which track bullet trajectories and identifies optimal shot placement, with a +15% boost to accuracy. It also comes with the Adaptive Instincts talent, where landing 30 headshots grants you a +20% critical hit chance and a +50% critical hit damage for 45 seconds. If you hit 60 body shots, you’ll get +100% damage for 45 seconds, and if you land 30 leg shots, you’ll get +150% reload speed for 45 seconds.
It has a colour changing skin and inflicts well over 18,000 damage. Yep - you read that right. With all those perks, you’ll be near enough unstoppable with it and your cluster grenades. Other new weapons include the Honey-Badger assault rifle, UIC15 MOD2 rifle and the G28 marksman rifle.
