The rumor comes from a leaked video of Tales from the Borderlands Redux which was posted to Reddit. It reportedly comes with new content, a bonus mini-episode, and unused content from the first game (thanks, IGN). At the end of the video, a two is flashed, leading many to believe it’s a teaser for a sequel, which is rumored to be in development. You can watch the clips for yourself on Imgur. Since the site only allows for 60-second clips, the video has been broken down into two. While this looks legitimate, keep it filed away as a rumor until something official is announced. According to a previous rumor, Tales from the Borderlands 2 is still a few years out, it was said Gearbox was currently “working out a deal for Telltale to have season one back.” The rumor also states AdHoc Studio, made up of former Telltale devs is “on board” for the second season of Tales from the Borderlands. In August, Telltale Games assets and back-catalog rights were purchased by LCG Entertainment, this included licensing rights to some of Telltale Games’ properties. Not all rights were acquired, as some IP are wholly owned by other companies, but the company said at the time it was looking into expired licenses on IP such as Borderlands, Game of Thrones, and others.
