Traditionally, Assassin’s Creed as a series has struggled to give players anything to do outside of fighting, sneaking and climbing. Valhalla bucks that trend, offering up a battle of the wits in its Viking rap battles. The idea is to rhythmically insult your opponent, choosing the best of three responses to their insults while under a strict time limit. Here’s a quick look at one in action:
We also had a go at one of the game’s big raid missions. First we set across the water, blocking flaming arrows with our shield. Then we make land and batter down doors while chopping off heads. You can see that in action here:
