The mission was released as free content alongside Special Operation 1, which was the first major update for Wildlands Year 2. When you completed the Splinter Cell mission it unlocked Sam’s goggles and a new night-vision filter.
It’s likely something similar can be expected this time out. We’ll find out for sure soon enough.
