According to figures posted by SteamDB, during the first 24 hours of Resident Evil Village landing on Steam, the game hit 101,726 concurrent players. This is the best launch day for a Resident Evil game on the service, compared to recent releases in the series. The previous record-holder for launch day was Resident Evil Remake with 74,277 concurrent users, followed by Resident Evil 3 Remake with 60,293. Resident Evil 7 saw 20,449 folks playing the game on launch day and Resident Evil 6 had 11,879 concurrent users at launch. As of press time, Resident Evil Village is the ninth most played game on Steam with 84,085 concurrent users. Released yesterday, the game has received rather stellar reviews from critics, and is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia. Here’s our review.
