Remedy Entertainment published its financial results for the full year ending December 31. The Control developer saw a 57% year-on-year gain in revenue, mostly the result of Control’s sales. The studio has now completed the first phase of its expansion, which will allow it to work on several projects simultaneously. With Control shipped, Remedy is now working on four other projects. One team is working on the game’s two upcoming expansions, due for release this year. Another has kicked off a second Crossfire project, separate from the Crossfire X story campaign - which is now seemingly done.
A third team is busy with Vanguard, a multiplayer live service project, which has now delivered an internally playable build. Interestingly, Vanguard is not being built on Remedy’s Northlight’s game engine. The developer also doesn’t expect it to release in 2020. Entering pre-production alongside Vanguard is an unannounced game handled by a fourth team. This brings Remedy’s workforce to 248 full-time members, split across the different projects.
