At this weekend’s event put on by Gala Games in Las Vegas, Galaverse, Molyneux detailed how crypto gaming impacted the development of Legacy, as he was approached by Gala Games to include the blockchain in the game, which had already been in development. As reported by Spanish site Areajugones (thanks, VGC), this time the batch of games include a pretty big name title, 2018’s God of War. The PlayStation Store was taken offline in the region earlier this morning, but so far there is no official word on when we might see its return. According to the Chinese PlayStation Weibo account, the online store was taken down for a security upgrade. On today’s PS5 Showcase, Sony shared the big news PlayStation fans have been waiting to hear for months: the price and launch date of its next-gen console. PS5 early adopters are finding that their new console sometimes defaults to the PS4 version of games. Players are now being asked to check if they are running the correct version on their new hardware. New generation launches are often plagued with weird bugs and small issues that hamper the experience. The PS5 has been no different, with even big bugs that require factory resets of the console. As a PSA to PS5 users, it’s worth checking to see if you are running the correct version of a game....

Sony has today unveiled 2021’s first major firmware update, coming to all PlayStation 5 consoles tomorrow, April 14. Among the update’s biggest additions is making it possible to use external USB storage with the console. USB storage can be used to store and play PS4 games, or save - cold-store - PS5 games for later use. PS5 games would need to be copied back to the console’s internal drive when you want to play them, similar to Microsoft’s solution with Xbox Series X/S....

As for why this has happened, it’s stated in the official press release featuring this info that the increased sales of PUBG in Q3 2022 thanks to the consistent inflow of new players since going free-to-play. An especially eye-catching figure comes from PC sales, which increased by 48% from last quarter. Consoles saw similar growth too, with quarterly sales increasing by 22% from last quarter, and over double the number of sales from last year....
