The PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and Battle.net have Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War up for pre-order. There’s of course the $59.99 standard edition, but there is also a Cross-Gen Bundle and an Ultimate Edition which will be made available. The Cross-Gen Bundle digital option will run you $69.99 and allows you to download the next-gen version at no extra cost when it launches. Pre-order any digital edition and receive Early access to the Open Beta, Operator Frank Woods, and an assault rifle Weapon Blueprint for immediate use in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone....

The news comes from CBR, where a report on the trailer was recently published. As it turns out, there are actually two separate teaser trailers - one of which is less than half as long as the other. You can check out the original, lengthier trailer in the video embedded below. This is the one that includes the clip that has since rendered the trailer banned, and caused Activision to release a new version in its stead....

You may remember that around this time last year, the Pan European Game Information rating board (PEGI) rated the campaign of a supposed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remaster. The assumption at the time was that it would ship around or close to the release of 2019’s Modern Warfare. In fact, that was the second time the name Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered appeared, after a leaked retailer listing first revealed its existence in 2018....

Today’s Warzone event has been building up thanks to the current zombie invasion which will see a big change-up to the Verdansk map, which is going to get more 80’s themed along with a new LTM called Hunt For Adler. The latter will incorporate the Black Ops Cold War cast into the Warzone map so that the crew can search for a US agent. As more zombies invade Verdansk, the current plan is to launch missiles to destroy the areas where the zombies are thick....

As promised, Infinity Ward has rolled out a big new update for Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare. This is the season’s last update, so there isn’t really any new content to speak of. The biggest addition comes in the form of the recently leaked private lobbies in Warzone and Plunder. Treyarch and Raven – developers working on Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, respectively – have shared a roadmap that highlights what new multiplayer content, Zombies updates, and Warzone changes are due to arrive in the various Call of Duty projects with Season 4. As ever with these big updates, we’re going to see Warzone get a fairly sizeable update in the new patch, with a lot of map landmarks getting changed and some new items getting introduced to the game, too....

Outriders, the co-op class-based shooter from Square Enix and People Can Fly, is out now, but you might be wondering how the final game shaped up. We’ve been playing the game for a bit and have captured some footage from beyond the demo. In the video above you can see Outriders gameplay as a pyromancer - the class that uses fire to obliterate enemies. It’s pretty neat. Apex Legends is now available for Switch, and in the video, you can see how it runs compared to PC. The game was brought to Switch by Panic Button, a developer based in Austin, Texas, and founded in 2007. The studio is best known for its ports of games to the Nintendo Switch console and 4K updates for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. Panic Button also handled 2016’s Doom, Wolfenstein 2, Rocket League, Subnautica, and Warframe for Switch....

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is a visually enhanced edition of the game, featuring Episode Intermission that follows Yuffie Kisaragi as the main character. It also features numerous gameplay additions. Coming June 10, if you own the original version of FF7 Remake for PS4, you can upgrade to the PS5 version of the game for free – but the new Yuffie chapter content will cost you $19.99. In the chapter, Yuffie and her partner Sonon Kusakabe are on a dangerous mission to infiltrate Midgar and steal the Shinra Electric Power Company’s most powerful materia....

Tencent’s test version of Fortnite designed with China in mind is different from the Fortnite the rest of the world knows: no in-app purchases or depiction of skulls and blood, just to name a couple of changes. Fortnite China’s closure is likely a cost-saving measure in the face of still not gaining approval from the government. Analyst Daniel Ahmad explained in a tweet that “the cost of changes / operating the game / extending the license does not make sense anymore, given there is no approval for it at this point”....

Previously a timed-exclusive to the Epic Games Store, the Steam version of the game will have immediate parity with all other versions, containing all game updates released to date, and the same content as every platform. Alongside the June 12 release on Steam, players can look forward to the Tenosian Invasion update across all supported platforms - including Steam. The update will be the “largest and most ambitious” content update yet, and it contains a bevy of new content including the introduction of the Tenosian faction....

While everyone was still reeling from the deluge of reveals at the PS5 showcase, Remedy Entertainment quietly announced that Control is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series. The news comes from a single Tweet by the developer, which sadly doesn’t contain any more information. Cult of the Lamb finds you running a cult in a “crumbling world of ritual and ruin,” and features a gameplay loop of base building and dungeon crawling. The game puts you in the role of a possessed lamb saved from annihilation by a stranger, and you must repay your debt by building a following in his name. In order to repay said debut, you will start your own cult in a land of false prophets, while wandering through various regions to build a loyal community of woodland worshippers while spreading your word....

Cyberpunk 2077 has had a rough go of it since coming out. While in its optimal state the game has been getting great reviews, it’s also been torn apart for its performance on last-gen consoles. CD Projekt Red has committed to try and fix the game’s myriad of bugs and performance issues that have plagued it in the public eye since launch. However, one of the more bizarre criticisms levelled at the game is just how many dildos are in the game....

The free Scorched Earth content update hit this week, bringing with it a new Escalation game mode, boss fights, weapons, and monster types. The update centers around Blaze Escalation, kicking things off on a tropical - albeit volcanic - island where you’ll find new fire-based beasts to take down. A new big boss known as Torgadoro - a gorilla made of lava - is also introduced here, described as a huge, lumbering, and particularly difficult behemoth who is able to use the environment to its advantage....

Sony and Bend Studio have today announced that Days Gone will be available May 18 on PC. The game is available to pre-order now on Steam and the Epic Games Store for $50. Today’s news was revealed in a new trailer, which offers a brief look at the PC version of Days Gone. Sony has yet to extensively show off the PC port, however. Nevertheless, the publisher today reiterated some of the PC version’s biggest additions, which include 21:9 ultra-wide resolution support, unlocked framerate, a field of view slider, as well as increased levels of detail and expanded draw distances....

Google will add six additional games to Stadia Pro tomorrow, October 1. The release of Dead by Daylight also kicks off Crowd Choice, a new Stadia feature that lets you take control of the action on YouTube when hosted by a creator. Here, you will team up with other users and vote and change the game as it’s happening. Crowd Choice is coming to more games on Stadia soon. Also, direct into the service October 1 is Human: Fall Flat, Superhot: Mind Control Delete, Lara Croft: Temple of Osiris, Celeste, and Jotun....

Behaviour Interactive noted in a recent blog post that cross-progression will be available for Dead by Daylight on PC, Stadia and Switch sometime in September. Cross-progression will allow players to share progression, inventory and purchases across platforms starting in September. The studio cannot guarantee the option will be made available on PS4 or Xbox One. “As of today, we cannot make Cross-Progression available on other platforms and we have no guarantee that it will happen,” reads the post....

Behaviour Interactive is no stranger to these overhauls, and has previously spent huge amounts of time determining whether Skill Based Match Making or a Match Making Rating is the better match-making system for the game. More recently, the team changed how ranks in the game work after having fully integrated SBMM: ranks became obsolete, and grades came in instead. I’m still not entirely sure how they work. The main issue prevalent with Dead by Daylight right now is arguably how long it takes to level characters and collect all perks for them....
