For one, it’s a shooter at heart, and within a similar engine there’s only so many ways you can press a button to make a man fall down....
Final Fantasy 14 will go into open beta on PS5 April 13 alongside the release of Patch 5.5, and it looks like Square Enix is bringing an additional bonus to anyone that wants to play the game on Sony’s latest hardware, too: a brand-new trophy list. As per trophy lists gathered by Exophase and TrueTrophies, the game is set to receive a massive 91 achievable awards on PS5 for anyone eager to unlock them....
A few of the shots also take a look at side quests you can take in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Two of the screens give you a better look at Red XIII, who you saw in the most recent trailer, and is being used as a test subject by Shinra scientist Hojo. Square Enix has been making an effort to bring more of its bigger Japanese games to PC in recent years, but Final Fantasy 7 Remake has yet to be made available on the platform. This looks to be changing soon, however. A entry for the JRPG was dug up from the Epic Games Store’s database on EpicData. Square Enix revealed the expansion of the PC version’s release today as part of a live stream celebrating the 25th anniversary of the original Final Fantasy 7. It will also work on Steam Deck, said a very excited Yoshinori Kitase on a dedicated Final Fantasy 7 stream. Fire Emblem Warriors - Three Hopes is set to launch on Nintendo Switch on June 24, and it will bring the characters that we love from Fire Emblem: Three Houses to a more action-orientated battlefield (as you’d see in the likes of Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors games). It’s perhaps no surprise we’ve seen a new Fire Emblem game announced at this point. After all, the last mainline game in the series – the outstanding Fire Emblem: Three Houses – will turn three years old in the summer....
One inclusion in the PS5 software beta is the ability to access the M.2 SSD slot. In order to test this, you will need an M.2 SSD that’s PCIe Gen4 with speeds of 5,500MB/s or faster. According to Sony, using an M.2 SSD with the PS5 will require a cooling structure, such as a heatsink. You can attach this to the M.2 SSD “either in a single-sided format or double-sided format,” as reported by The Verge....

This week, you’re off to Steamy Stacks to find five blue rings to earn your XP. This is exciting because we haven’t seen a port of the game ever, leaving it trapped on the N64 due to a tangle of licensing agreements between developer Rare, Nintendo, and MGM. The closest we’ve seen to a Goldeneye resurgence is the Wii reimagining that bore very little resemblance to the original game. A port for Xbox Live Arcade was leaked earlier in 2021, but obviously that never saw the light of day until the leak....
