All in all, a handy tool! Those who have been around for a while, and people who have tried to look up this sort of information may have popped by the old stats page or websites like Steam Spy or Steam Charts (yes, there was a Steam Charts before this announcement, confusingly enough)....

Paradox has announced this morning that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will not be released this year as previously planned. The publisher is also removing its lead developer Hardsuit Labs from the project, and bringing in a different team to finish the game. The company shared the news as part of its year-end financial report, where it also said that its studio organisation “has found it difficult to maintain” the usual production pace under coronavirus-induced work-from-home conditions....

A group of industry veterans announced that they would be joining forces to form That’s No Moon Entertainment, a self-proclaimed “AAA independent” game development studio, and the pedigree these designers have is truly impressive. The team is made up of people from Naughty Dog, Bungie, EA, PlayStation, Sony Santa Monica, Infinity Ward, and more. That’s No Moon is the result of a meeting of AAA talent mixed with more than $100 million in investment from Smilegate, the creators of Crossfire....

Currently in alpha, Watch Dogs: Legion of the Dead is a standalone mode available to all Watch Dogs: Legion owners on PC. Players can expect frequent updates, developer insights, and a “constant conversation: as testing progresses. The mode can be accessed via Ubisoft Connect and features a London filled with zombies, Albion soldiers, and Clan Kelley enforcers which are hoarding supplies that you must get your hands on to ensure the survival of your crew....

The main conceit is that this will only be available for PC players with access to UPlay. In order to claim your copy, you’ll need to tune in to the Ubisoft Forward livestream at a certain time, at which point you’ll be instructed on how to redeem Watch Dogs 2 for free. Competitive multiplayer survival game Rust is coming to consoles, and a new video has been released showing extended gameplay footage of it running on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. The footage showcases a variety of options while in combat along with various loadouts you can create and how they will affect your approach to both group combat and one-to-one skirmishes. If you are unfamiliar with Rust, the main goal of the game is to survive....

The new features added today are headlined by the introduction of ‘openFPGA’, something which is an impressive new string to the Analogue Pocket’s bow – while also being a feature that has ruffled feathers in the wider retro gaming community. According to developer The Farm 51, the closed beta test will remain available until the open beta launhces sometime in March 2022. After the test, the game will switch over to a free-to-play distribution model. The tester will feature four maps across two different modes. Players will fight on the battlefields of Berlin, Warsaw, Polyarny, and Moscow, and a range of customization options will also be available, with samples of gear and weapons available....

Earlier this week during a call to investors, World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc (WWE) announced there wouldn’t be a new game in the WWE 2K series released this year. The statement was made by WWE’s CFO Frank Riddick during an investor Q&A. When asked about a new entry in the wrestling game series, he stated: “There’s not going to be a launch of a game this year." Speaking on an episode of The Iron Lords podcast, Ronald was aksed what titles he’s looking foward to playing in the remaining months of 2021. He replied “not every game releasing this year has been announced yet,” which has sparked a lot of speculation that Microsoft has some more, unannounced tricks up its sleeve. Octobers’s Xbox Games with Gold have been announced, and the games are Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut, Maid of Sker, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, and Costume Quest. Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut will be available for the entire month on Xbox One. Maid of Sker will go live on October 16 and be available until November 15 on Xbox One. Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy can be downloaded on Xbox 360 and Xbox One from October 1 to 15....

This week, a new test flight was announced for the immensely popular Halo: The Master Chief Collection by its developer, 343 Industries. Director Christopher Gans is working on a new addition to the Silent Hill franchise, he revealed to the online publication Allocine. The upcoming fim will focus once more on a cult in a small American town ravaged by puritanism. Also in the works is a film adaptation of Project Zero - better known in North America under the title Fatal Frame - which, like the original game, will take place in Japan, according to Gans....

For the past few days, the official Call of Duty account on Twitter has been teasing the arrival of two iconic characters from 80s cinema into Warzone.
