The Passionate Alpha Armour set is available to Iceborne players only, so if you don’t have the expansion yet you’re out of luck. It’s a Master Rank set of armour that comes with five separate pieces and is very powerful against water elementals. There’s also a Layered version of this new armour, though you’ll need some VIP Sizzling Spice tickets to get it. The Sizzling Spice Fest runs from July 22 to August 6, so there’s plenty of time to get this armour.
Monster Hunter World: Sizzling Spice Fest - How to get the Passionate Alpha Armour
To get started, you’re going to need to find some regular Sizzling Spice tickets. You can get these from Daily Login Bonuses and by completing Limited Bounties, which you can get from the Resource Center. They usually involve hunting a specific monster in exchange for a ticket and shouldn’t take you too long. There are usually four or five Limited Bounties a day, so combined with your Daily Login Bonus, you could get as many as six Sizzling Spice tickets in one sitting. The other resources you’ll need for this armour is some Monster Solidbones and Large Kulu-Ya-Ku Plumes. You’ll need about five of each to create the whole set. You can check out our guide on where to find Monster Solidbone here, as well as where to find the Kulu-Ya-Ku in the Ancient Forest. You’ll also need around 75000 Zenny to craft the full set. Once you’ve gathered the lot, head over to the Smithy to craft it.
How to get VIP Sizzling Spice tickets for Passionate Layered Armour
You’ll need to find a VIP Sizzling Spice ticket to get the Layered version of this armour, which you can get from low-level Hunter Rewards or Special Rewards from Master Rank Quests and Expeditions, and it’s worth noting that wearing your Passionate Armour will increase the drop chance. Events like Flora Frostbit and Duffel Trouble seem to yield the most VIP tickets, so farm those as many times as you can by speaking to the Handler at your camp. Once you have five VIP tickets, visit the smithy to craft the Layered Armour.
The event runs for another week or so yet, so check out our guide on where to find Light Pearls here.
