The survey asks mainly about the Remote Play feature, and one of the interesting questions regarding the feature is whether users would like to see it extended to Nintendo Switch or Apple TV. It also asks whether users would be interested in offline Remote Play. It even asks if PlayStation users would be interested in playing previous generation games using Remote Play such as those originally released on PSOne or PS2....

Cult classic Space Channel 5 is finally getting another entry later this month, with Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash set to release on PlayStation VR on February 25. It’s priced at $39.99. This sequel has been a long time coming. Space Channel 5: Part 2 (which bizarrely had Michael Jackson in it as ‘Space Michael’, y’know) released all the way back in 2001. While there’s been some mobile-based spin-offs and ports, the series has been largely dormant, though hero Ulala has appeared in the Sega All-Stars Tennis and Racing games to represent the series....

According to Square Enix producer and Final Fantasy veteran, Naoki Yoshida, news and updates about Final Fantasy 16 have intentionally been limited. In an interview with The Washington Post, the Final Fantasy 14 director mentioned that the lack of updates about the upcoming title is a measured tactic. “We don’t want to say something that’s half baked and cause speculation on the title,” Yoshida explained. “With any Final Fantasy fan, depending on which Final Fantasy title is your jam, the point that you get excited will tend to differ....

Although you’d expect Halo and Fable to be doing the heavy lifting when it comes to Microsoft events, the new STALKER 2 trailer is the most popular thing to have emerged from yesterday’s showcase by a significant margin. Currently sitting pretty at 783k views at the time of writing, it’s clear that there is a lot of demand for the sequel to 2007’s STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. I’ve tried TESO, FF14, and even World of Warcraft, but I always bounce off them a dozen hours in. On Monday, I subscribed to an MMO, mainly because it doesn’t feel like one. Star Wars: The Old Republic feels like a proper BioWare RPG. Where MMOs usually fall down for me is in the fact I don’t give a solitary shit what they’re asking me to do. Go to this area and kill ten of these things....

You can expect all sorts of nice upgrades to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on new-gen consoles. The upgrades include higher resolution textures and assets, 4K/HDR resolution, improved 60 FPS performance, and significantly faster loading times. You can turn performance mode on or off. If on, you can expect 1440p Resolution at 60 FPS, and if you have it turned off, the game will run in 4K Resolution at 30 FPS....

But, consideringStarfield is set to release on PC and Xbox Series X/S on November 11, we know precious little about it. Bethesda has noted that it wants the title to be a “vision of a future that’s grounded in reality”, but beyond that information has been pretty hard to come by. Valve looks to be turning its sights to Steam’s downloads page. The developer has been gradually updating and overhauling many of Steam’s pages and components, with the big 2019 library update being its most recent project. According to SteamDB’s Pavel Djundik, Valve added new code for Steam’s downloads page in Steam’s most recent beta update, the same one that leaked the SteamPal handheld. The new downloads page, seen below, largely retains the existing layout....

The Team Ninja-developed action RPG arrives March 18 on PC (EGS), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game appears much more polished in this new gameplay. Colours in particular pop more, and the image overall is sharper. Part of that is because one of the new areas shown is inspired by the Sunleth Waterscape from Final Fantasy 13, but you can definitely see a big boost in characters and environmental detail....

Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition comes with all content from the original release and the Arcade Edition. This, however, does not include Fighting Chance costumes, brand collaboration costumes or the Capcom Pro Tour DLC. But the Champion Edition does add each character, stage and other content that released after Arcade Edition and through the launch of this new version, including Seth. In total, this edition features 40 characters, 34 stages, and over 200 costumes....

In Super Mario Bros. 35, 35 players will compete to be the last Mario standing or running. Enemies defeated will be sent to other players’ courses, but and it also works the other way around. Players can also activate special items to try and outrun their opponents. It’s a limited run game though, as it will release on October 1 as a digital-only game exclusive to Switch Online members. The game will be playable until March 31, 2021....

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, who once said that Google oversold the promise of cloud gaming, doesn’t usually mince words. In an interview with Protocol, he made his feelings on cloud gaming very clear, and they’re not unlike those he had on VR. “Any new distribution vehicle that offers high-quality, efficiency and a reasonable price is good for our business because broader distribution is always better in the entertainment business,” Zelnick said....
